HACKNEY
CRATE Brewery Taproom

You can find the Crate Brewery Taproom situated right on the River Lea in Hackney Wick. Their experimental brewhouse is where they create their Limited Edition beers, poured straight in the bar. Alongside the full CRATE range, there are rotating taps to showcase the best of the craft beer world, plus fridges packed with handpicked gems. Their kitchen serves up hand-rolled, stone-baked pizzas using only the freshest ingredients, with both vegan and gluten free options. There is also no way you can miss climbing aboard Crate’s very own barge, the Alfred Le Roy, to enjoy a fresh pint!
The Crate Taproom is found in The White Building, an old paint factory, and shares the building with other great local businesses. The world’s first zero-wate restaurant, Silo, is located on the first floor of the building. Crate are proud to have partnered with Douglas McMaster, the award-winning chef and founder of silo. Here you can also find a boutique market space selling a range of homewares, gifts, grocery and bottle shop. All with a focus on low waste and sustainability.

Forest Road Brewing Co.

Looking for somewhere to go after a stroll down Broadway Market, why not check out the Forest Road taproom? They have an outside patio open until 22:00 every day, serve up delicious pizza, and of course, the complete range of Forest Road Brewing Co. beers (including some specials and one-off brews)! They also have a full liquor bar, wine, frozen margs and a whole lotta bourbon for the non-beer drinkers too. If that hasn’t sold it to you yet, they do a Happy Hour until 7pm every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday = £4 pints and £5 drinks!

Hackney Church Brew Co.
You’ll find Hackney Church Brew Co.’s taproom under a Hackney arch opposite the St. John at Hackney churchyard. The brewery bar comes equipped with a big beer garden out back, perfect for summertime. In terms of food, this taproom is quite special! Guest chefs take turns with kitchen residencies, and so the menu changes every few months. Be sure to check out their Instagram before your visit to find out what they’re serving up!

40 FT Brewery

40FT’s taproom is the heart of what they do and who they are. They aim to make it Dalston’s very own living room where everyone is welcome. In 2021, SIBA awarded the 40FT Taproom UK’s Best Independent Craft Beer Taproom by SIBA. You’ll always find their core range as well as special releases, limited editions and collaboration brews. They also serve up natural wines, a guest cider and ready-to-drink cocktails.

Deviant & Dandy Brewery

Located in the heart of Hackney Central, the Deviant & Dandy taproom is a super cosy spot. They’ve got great outdoor seating with heaters for the chillier evenings. Open Friday from 4-12:30am and Saturday from 1pm to 12:30am.

Howling Hops Tank Bar

Howling Hops Tank Bar, voted the 11th Coolest Bar in the World by Time Out, is one you can’t miss out on! Each week, you can find new beers pouring straight from the tank. All tank beers are available in 1 Pint, 1/3 Pint, ½ Pint and 2/3 Pint measures – or if you feel like going all out, 4-Pint Pitchers! The food here is not to be missed either, Howling Hops Tank Bar serves up Sri Lankan food from New York born restaurant, Kottu House. There’s something for everyone here!

Three Sods

The Sods family has grown considerably in recent years and has refused to sacrifice on quality. Their Head Brewer, Rich, and their Sales Director, Wilson, share the same passion they had when they set up Three Sods 9 years ago. Their Beers are in pubs all over the UK and they've recently launched their online shop and new Taproom in London Fields. Go and join them for a pint!

Boxcar Brewery

Boxcar’s taproom is situated right next to their brewery in Bethnal Green, London. They’re open Wednesday through Sunday for keg and can beers. All beers are served direct from the coldstore, super fresh, super cool. Nice.

Five Points Brewing Co.

Launched winter 2021, Five Points’ new showcase venue is complete with an indoor taproom bar serving tank-fresh pints, mezzanine gallery with a view over the brewery, and weekly Saturday brewery tours and tastings. (Plus, a large outside area for beers outdoors once the spring kicks in). The indoor taproom bar features 18 lines of Five Points beers and guest brews, including 6 stainless-steel tanks which draw the freshest Five Points beer available, directly from the brewery. Every Thursday and Friday 5pm ’til 7pm, you can drink the freshest tank-beer at just £3.50 per pint. Pizza masters ACE Pizza serve up the tastiest, wood-fired pizza. Expect regular community events, DJs on weekends, and a great selection of beers, alcoholic drinks, and softs.
