Truman's Social Club

Truman’s Social Club has been designed to celebrate East London’s rich history - that Truman’s has been a part of for over 350 years – and bring the community together to forge the next chapter of an ever-changing city. Hackney Brewery High Hill Taproom

After a successful crowdfunding campaign during COVID, Hackney Brewery’s High Hill taproom is one of the newest additions to the Walthamstow beer scene. The taproom has 20 taps serving up the freshest Hackney beers direct from the brewery alongside other finest UK & US craft beers. They are joined by a rotation of pop-up kitchens on weekends, and you can always order a delicious Yard Sale Pizza to your table with free delivery! They also often host events, a lot of which are super family friendly, so make sure to check out their website see what they’ve got coming up!

Signature Brew

Signature Brew has two great venues for you to check out! One in Haggerston and one on Blackhorse Road.
At the Blackhorse Road Brewery & Yard Pub you can Enjoy the freshest Signature Brew beers, all brewed right next to the bar itself! And it wouldn't be a Signature Brew bar without also offering the best music playlists around as well as regular special-guest live acts. The Signature Brew Haggerston is based in a railway arch next to the Regent’s Canal. This taproom is a place where great beer and music come together!

Exale Brewing

Another Brewery part of the Walthamstow Beer Mile, Exale Brewery claim to be ‘never dull’, and who are we to disagree? Converted from an old furniture factory, they serve up amazing beers and cocktails in a unique setting. They feature various food vendors throughout the year, from award winning Nepalese food to some mega tasty vegan burgers. They like to change things up and keep it interesting! On a Friday & Saturday night you can typically find DJs playing until 2am. Plus, if not everyone you’re visiting with is too keen on beer, they also have an extensive cocktail list and a natural wine menu!

Wild Card Brewery

It is fair to say that Wild Card Brewery were the pioneers and founders of the whole craft beer movement in Walthamstow. Founded in 2012 by several passionate and enthusiast friends, they quickly outgrew their original brewery Near Walthamstow Village and opened a larger unit on Lockwood Way, doubling up as a brewery and taproom. At the weekends, Wildcard set up lots of picnic tables in front of their brewery and often have a guest food stall. Their on tap range changes regularly as well!

Pillars
Pillars have two great locations for you to check out and enjoy!

Pillars Brewery and Taproom is nestled in the illustrious Ravenswood Industrial Estate, known for its friendly drinking culture. You can enjoy a fresh, local lager whilst sitting amongst the tanks it was brewed in. They even have takeaway beer for you to appreciate at home! The unit occupies an eclectic corner of Walthamstow, filled with taprooms, bars and an infamous neon light studio! In the warmer months, you’ll also find street food vendors and plenty of outdoor seating. The East London taproom hosts a wide range of events, from live music and charity fundraisers, to wedding receptions and birthday parties. Whether you need to reserve a table or hire the whole venue, give the Pillars team a shout.

The Untraditional Pub lives within the innovative CRATE St James Street development. The orange social hub occupies a unit in CRATE's modular site alongside a community of local businesses, from food vendors to hairdressers. The all-weather roof terrace regularly hosts live music acts and diverse events. Serving up the full range of Pillars lagers in the bar, along with a selection of the best craft beer, gin, wine and cider. Their craft beer shop showcases the best of British breweries, bringing you unique brews and their favourite bottled beers from around the world.

Gravity Well Brewing Co.

Serving their own beer as fresh as it gets as well as offering the finest choice in guest beers, aiming to cover a broad range of the craft beer spectrum whilst maintaining the focus on their signature hazy, juicy pales and IPAs. There’s something for everyone here at Gravity Well’s Taproom. In addition to their crowd-pleasing retro crisp selection, they have recently partnered with plant-based Indian maestros Spicebox. You can order into their taproom table and receive a free portion of samosas (worth £7) with every order!

Solvay Society

Looking for modern Belgian beer? This is the one for you. Solvay Society’s self-professed ‘tiny taproom’ hosts five taps of fresh draught beer as well as a full fridge that’s also home to wines and soft drinks. They’ll have the beers they’re famous for, special one-off brews and guest beers on rotation. If you get hungry, they’ve paired with Yard Sale Pizza who deliver right to the taproom (as well as having the usual bar snacks of course)! This one might be small but it is mighty, we definitely think it’s worth stopping by.

Pretty Decent Beer Co.

The Pretty Decent Beer Co. taproom is an inclusive neighbourhood spot where everyone feels welcome to sit down, relax and enjoy themselves. They brew a diverse range of modern, seasonal beers so there is always something new on the taps to try. They have 12 beers on tap (including the freshest PDBC beer straight from the brewery next door), a full wine list and spirits from local legends Victory Gin. They also have gluten free and no alcohol beer - so something for everyone! Plus, a rotating monthly menu from some incredible pop-ups.

Neckstamper

Just an 8-minute walk from Lea Bridge station, you can find the Neckstamper taproom just outside their brewery! Unfortunately, children are not allowed in the brewery but you are welcome to stop by for takeaway cans and draught beers nonetheless.

HACKNEY
CRATE Brewery Taproom

You can find the Crate Brewery Taproom situated right on the River Lea in Hackney Wick. Their experimental brewhouse is where they create their Limited Edition beers, poured straight in the bar. Alongside the full CRATE range, there are rotating taps to showcase the best of the craft beer world, plus fridges packed with handpicked gems. Their kitchen serves up hand-rolled, stone-baked pizzas using only the freshest ingredients, with both vegan and gluten free options. There is also no way you can miss climbing aboard Crate’s very own barge, the Alfred Le Roy, to enjoy a fresh pint!
The Crate Taproom is found in The White Building, an old paint factory, and shares the building with other great local businesses. The world’s first zero-wate restaurant, Silo, is located on the first floor of the building. Crate are proud to have partnered with Douglas McMaster, the award-winning chef and founder of silo. Here you can also find a boutique market space selling a range of homewares, gifts, grocery and bottle shop. All with a focus on low waste and sustainability.

Forest Road Brewing Co.

Looking for somewhere to go after a stroll down Broadway Market, why not check out the Forest Road taproom? They have an outside patio open until 22:00 every day, serve up delicious pizza, and of course, the complete range of Forest Road Brewing Co. beers (including some specials and one-off brews)! They also have a full liquor bar, wine, frozen margs and a whole lotta bourbon for the non-beer drinkers too. If that hasn’t sold it to you yet, they do a Happy Hour until 7pm every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday = £4 pints and £5 drinks!

Hackney Church Brew Co.
You’ll find Hackney Church Brew Co.’s taproom under a Hackney arch opposite the St. John at Hackney churchyard. The brewery bar comes equipped with a big beer garden out back, perfect for summertime. In terms of food, this taproom is quite special! Guest chefs take turns with kitchen residencies, and so the menu changes every few months. Be sure to check out their Instagram before your visit to find out what they’re serving up!

40 FT Brewery

40FT’s taproom is the heart of what they do and who they are. They aim to make it Dalston’s very own living room where everyone is welcome. In 2021, SIBA awarded the 40FT Taproom UK’s Best Independent Craft Beer Taproom by SIBA. You’ll always find their core range as well as special releases, limited editions and collaboration brews. They also serve up natural wines, a guest cider and ready-to-drink cocktails.

Deviant & Dandy Brewery

Located in the heart of Hackney Central, the Deviant & Dandy taproom is a super cosy spot. They’ve got great outdoor seating with heaters for the chillier evenings. Open Friday from 4-12:30am and Saturday from 1pm to 12:30am.

Howling Hops Tank Bar

Howling Hops Tank Bar, voted the 11th Coolest Bar in the World by Time Out, is one you can’t miss out on! Each week, you can find new beers pouring straight from the tank. All tank beers are available in 1 Pint, 1/3 Pint, ½ Pint and 2/3 Pint measures – or if you feel like going all out, 4-Pint Pitchers! The food here is not to be missed either, Howling Hops Tank Bar serves up Sri Lankan food from New York born restaurant, Kottu House. There’s something for everyone here!

Three Sods

The Sods family has grown considerably in recent years and has refused to sacrifice on quality. Their Head Brewer, Rich, and their Sales Director, Wilson, share the same passion they had when they set up Three Sods 9 years ago. Their Beers are in pubs all over the UK and they've recently launched their online shop and new Taproom in London Fields. Go and join them for a pint!

Boxcar Brewery

Boxcar’s taproom is situated right next to their brewery in Bethnal Green, London. They’re open Wednesday through Sunday for keg and can beers. All beers are served direct from the coldstore, super fresh, super cool. Nice.

Five Points Brewing Co.

Launched winter 2021, Five Points’ new showcase venue is complete with an indoor taproom bar serving tank-fresh pints, mezzanine gallery with a view over the brewery, and weekly Saturday brewery tours and tastings. (Plus, a large outside area for beers outdoors once the spring kicks in). The indoor taproom bar features 18 lines of Five Points beers and guest brews, including 6 stainless-steel tanks which draw the freshest Five Points beer available, directly from the brewery. Every Thursday and Friday 5pm ’til 7pm, you can drink the freshest tank-beer at just £3.50 per pint. Pizza masters ACE Pizza serve up the tastiest, wood-fired pizza. Expect regular community events, DJs on weekends, and a great selection of beers, alcoholic drinks, and softs.

WOOD GREEN
The Goodness Brewing Co.

Their amazing space opened in May 2019 and has already become a local hangout spot for many different people. Whether you’re popping in for a quick pizza and pint after work on a Friday, partying on a Saturday, or bringing the kids down to have a jump on the bouncy castle at our Sunday family fun days, all are welcome. And for those of you who aren’t as crazy about beer as we are, there’s a fully stocked bar with whatever you need for a night out with your friends.

ISLINGTON
Hammerton Brewery

Hammerton Brewery’s taproom serves up all their core range beers alongside some special limited edition, pilot and seasonal brews for everyone to enjoy. It’s not just about beer either, they’ve got a fully stocked bar for those who don’t fancy a beer but still like a nice friendly atmosphere! They also serve up a classic combo – Beer and Pizza. Their in-house pizzeria offers up freshly baked, hand-stretched, sourdough pizza and sandwiches. The taproom has also recently been refurbished and is a large heated and comfortable space – with both indoor and outdoor (covered and heated) tables!

Two Tribes

Two Tribes Campfire is a unique live fire-cooking and fermentation freight container venue in the heart of Kings Cross. Part community hub, part entertainment space, the bar is centred around an open-fire pit where live-fire chefs serve up food to a backdrop for visiting DJs and musicians, many of whom are resident at the recording studios and record labels nearby. It’s a brewery taproom experience unlike any other! If anything symbolises the rising star that is King’s Cross, it’s this buzzy-yet-laidback beer bar, with an atmosphere of its own in the middle of nowhere.

TOTTENHAM
Ora Brewing

Their taproom is at the heart of the Tottenham community, and just 10 minutes’ walk away from Tottenham Hale station in a vibrant industrial estate next to Tottenham wetlands. The taproom is a lovely space where you can enjoy their flagship and pioneer small batch beers right where they were made. The beer garden can fit up over 100 when the sun's out. You will find a wide selection of ORA and guest beers, such as their flagship Limoncello IPA with lemons from Naples, or their Tiramisu stout with Italian coffee. You will find a selection fine Italian wines, as well as a renewed cocktail menu signed by Luigi Valentino, former head bartender at Eve Bar by Adam Handling and the Arts Club. On Saturdays you will always find food vendors outside serving a range of Gaucho BBQ and sourdough pizza (veggie options always available).

Redemption Brewing Co.

Redemption’s Match Day Taproom is open again for the 2021/22 season. There's no need to book, they have plenty of room inside and out. For mid-week Spurs games, it’s best to check with them for details of their opening times. If you aren't a football fan, they still love to welcome you on Match Days, too! They have a terrific and inclusive atmosphere - we promise, you'll have a great time. The best street food producers from across London will be feeding you their tasty wares throughout the season.

Bohem Brewery

Bohem Brewery was founded in early 2017, by Czech's Petr Skocek and Zdenek Kudr. They exclusively brew traditional Bohemian lagers, in London! Their ethos is to treat lager with the respect it deserves so you can only find their beer in a small number of retailers or Bohem Brewery’s Tap Room - the perfect micro pub setting to enjoy their fresh craft Bohemian style lagers.
