Beer of the week 10th December - Primordial (4.0%)
PALE ALE (4.0% ABV)
About the beer
Primordial is a highly sessionable 4% hoppy pale ale with a bright and fruity aroma that gives way to a crisp and light body. Brewed with Norweigan super yeast Voss Kveik, the Simcoe and Citra hop character is supported by bready and stone fruit esters from the yeast. The addition of dextrin malt and flaked oats give the beer a body to balance the bitterness whilst retaining a lightness that inspires another sip. Primordial is unfiltered with a natural haze (meaning it is suitable for vegans).
Taking inspiration from Ray Kurzweil’s book The Singularity is Near as well as images from the Event Horizon Telescope, they collaborated with artist Dan Junsei to create a label that evokes images of the cosmos, and leaves an impression of expansion and possibility.
